About the Event

Turn your kitchen scraps into “Black Gold”! Worm composting is a neat, easy, and odorless way to recycle food and some paper waste into nutrient-rich plant food. It can be done indoors, on the patio, or in the yard. You’ll have your own supply of worm castings—a nitrogen-rich soil amendment that will make your indoor and outdoor plants thrive! Join UC Master Gardener Terry Andre as she assembles a worm bin and shares the secrets of worms and their magic. A great family activity—children are welcome!
