Elizabeth Fichtner
Dr. Elizabeth Fichtner has a BS degree in Plant Sciences from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, and M.S. and PhD degrees in Plant Pathology & Soil Science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Following her PhD, she did postdoctoral research on emerging forest diseases at the University of California (UC) at Davis. She became a UC Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor in 2009 working in Tulare County, CA. She mainly works with growers of almonds, pistachios, walnuts, prunes, and olives.
