Maxwell Norton

Maxwell Norton was raised on a diversified farm near Salida, CA. He earned BS and MS degrees in Plant Science from California State University at Fresno. He has farmed almonds and walnuts in Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. He has been a University of California (UC) Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor for 32 years and works out of the Merced County Extension Office. His expertise is in tree fruit, grapes, and farmland preservation. He has been a statewide UC Agriculture & Natural Resources Program Leader for agricultural productivity. He is active in business and agricultural organizations in Merced County.
