Eating Habits for Preschoolers
Picky eating is typical for many preschoolers. It’s simply another step in the process of growing up and becoming independent. As long as your preschooler is healthy, growing normally, and has plenty of energy, he or she is most likely getting the nutrients he or she needs.
Here are some tips and resources to help with picky eating:
Food Needs and Appetite
Every child's food needs differ and their appetites may vary. Remember, suggested amounts are just an average. Their food needs depend
s on their growth rate.
Please use this chart from MyPlate for a suggested calorie level based on your preschooler's age, sex, and physical activity level.
