All ANR Exchange users are going to see something new in their calendars very soon. 'Student-centric' events will be added to your calendar automatically.
We work at a University, so we want to know the first day of school, finals week, etc. Right? Sounds like this is a good thing...
If you are in ANR it is probably not a good thing.
But there is good news- we have a fix for you. AND this fix actually has a bonus!
The UCD Exchange 'Academic & Administrative Calendar' functionality can be modified by each user in a simple and painless process.
Go to this page:
https://projects.ls.ucdavis.edu/importantdates/ucd-access/synchronize.aspx
You will need to sign in with your Kerberos login.
Once you are on the page, the options are very simple. It will look something like this:
You need to do 3 things:
- Check the 'Holiday' option
- Un-check the 'Student Centric' option
- Click 'Save and Synchronize'
This will remove the student-centric items from your calendar, AND it will add all of the University holidays...I told you there was a bonus!
Please leave any questions in the comments, and we'll address them right away.
