Urban Agriculture

The cultural divide between city folk and country folk has been the basis of stories from literature to sitcoms throughout our country's history.

Are you farming or gardening in a city, suburb, tribal community or small town? From community gardens to indoor vertical farms, urban agriculture provides critical access to healthy food for local communities, as well as jobs, climate resilience, increased green spaces, and closer community ties.

In Part 2 of this blog, we continue to explore some of the environmental challenges associated with growing food in urban spaces as well as some of the benefits that micro-community gardens have to offer.
