The 2018 CE Position Call process to develop and submit proposals ends tomorrow. The proposals are posted on the call web page: http://ucanr.edu/2018callforpositions. Internal stakeholders across the ANR network and external stakeholders were engaged, throughout the seven-month process, in the development of these proposals.
To recap:

On Aug. 1, phase 2 of the Cooperative Extension Positions Call process ended and phase 3 began. During phase 2, the Program Teams reviewed the 40 phase 1 proposals and submitted six additional proposals. ANR is committed to increasing our academic footprint for more effective deployment of Cooperative Extension (CE) specialists and advisors to address local issues with global impact. The 2018 CE Call for Positions is released, with the aim to identify positions that address programmatic gaps and emerging needs. The call, including the position proposal template, new process flowchart and timeline, and criteria are posted at http://ucanr.edu/2018callforpositions.

Review is beginning for the 109 Cooperative Extension advisor and specialist positions submitted in response to ANR’s 2012 supplemental call for academic positions. Of those proposed, 52 are advisor positions and 57 are specialist positions. The positions remain posted on the publicly accessible site www.ucanr.edu/callforpositions. We encourage all ANR stakeholders as well as employees to offer comments and provide input. The system will remain open to collect comments on the positions until Aug. 7.
