This is great. I have two questions:

Our analytics have been showing data for both the http and https version of our site (mgsantaclara.ucanr.edu). I’m wondering if the http canonical URL on the pages has an impact on that?

Will Google Analytics 4 tagging be added to the blog tool as well?

Thx.

Adding Google Analytics 4 to the blogs is on my radar. However, we are focusing our efforts on getting the Integrated Web Platform (IWP) wired up first. IWP is the future with a modern code base, and rock solid performance.

Analytics should show data for both http and https if you have it set up correctly. I don't believe the canonical will influence that data. It will influence the data IF you are serving up duplicate content on your blog and the normal website, or on someone else's website.
