The UC Davis campus has made changes to their email system that will keep Eudora users from retrieving email.
Here is the notice from UC Davis computing (IET) (Boring alert!)
Starting at 3pm on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 central campus email servers, mail.ucdavis.edu, will be switching to InCommon SSL certificates.

Phishing...that is the name given to different types of 'social engineering' schemes to convince you to release information to some unsavory character, who will use it in unsavory ways.
Most of us are targets of phishing almost every day. We see much of this as email spam, and throw it away. Many of these scams are obvious- but some go well beyond trolling for neophytes, and they've fooled even the most jaded internet user.

This is a quick post...a teaser really. But it's important that we start letting everyone know about this.
We have begun rolling Microsoft Exchange services out to the entire Division.
Now you may not be impressed by that, and that's okay. But I will tell you, this will be a big deal!
In order to get excited, you really need to know what Exchange is. Exchange is shared calendaring, improved email, an excellent web client for email, shared documents and instant messaging.
Calendaring: Shared calendaring is one of the most requested services that we have not been able to provide. Now we can. Your office can share calendars. Your workgroup. Your...
