Pear > Deficiencies & Pests > Insect, Mite & Nematode Pests The most prevalent and harmful orchard pest of pear in California is the codling moth (Cydia pomonella). Pear psylla (Cacopsylla pyricola) and the twospotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) are also common in California.
