All of the Research and Extension Centers serve their communities not just with information about the local agriculture, but also long-term data on weather, geologic and soil sciences, and biological and other natural resources.
The REC system, along with the UCs Cooperative Extension, functions as a bridge between departments at the University of California and Californians in the delivery of knowledge about agriculture, food, natural resources and much more.
Your gift furthers the mission of the Research and Extension Centers to conduct high-quality research on agriculture, natural resources, and human development to promote sustainable farming systems and farmers, healthy California citizens and thriving communities.
Project Principal Investigators (PIs) must use the Center's PI HUB to submit a separate research proposal for each of the REC Centers for which they wish to conduct research. This includes all the necessary information about their proposal, e.g.
