The popular Bohart Museum of Entomology at the University of California, Davis, is a favorite destination of adults and children alike but that won't happen for awhile. And rightfully so. We all need to take precautions.

[The deadline to nominate staff for a STAR Award has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 17.] Nominations are being accepted for the annual UC ANR Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Awards until Monday, April 6, 2020.

The Bohart Museum of Entomology at the University of California, Davis, is closed to the public until further notice, announced Lynn Kimsey, Bohart director and UC Davis professor of entomology, today (March 16). However, researchers may contact the museum for their specific needs, she said.

It has been a pleasure to grow tomatoes this year. After several years of drought, it was so nice to give them the water they needed and not just be in survival mode. And they did thrive.

A welcome sign of spring each year for grape producers is budbreak, the moment when tiny buds on the vine start to swell and green leaves appear.

As of 3/15 all UC Cooperative Extension events that are scheduled through April 3rd will be postponed. This includes: -3/17: Healthy Soils and Cover Crop Field Day I will be rescheduling these events as I am able, or will provide access to the information to be presented through other means.

We've decided to postpone our pollinator class for now. We will post a new blog when we have information about our next one.
