Master Gardeners are busy putting the final touches on the creation of six garden exhibits for display at the upcoming San Mateo County Fair, June 5th-13th, 2021.

The second display garden, designed by Janice Moody, Cynthia Nations, Patty Hontales and Linda Dvorak, will feature succulents incorporated in a garden with other plants. This garden will include two colorful cinder block structures and a fantastic newly constructed MG potting bench by Larry Wuerstle. You might recognize the turquoise boards which formerly graced several previous MG exhibits at the fair.
Patty Hontales has designed an amazing balcony garden with a Mexican theme, which will include brightly colored Talavera pots and tiles.
Two of the exhibits will show off recent Master Gardener community beautification projects: the Foster City Pollinator Garden Habitat and the Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center. These exhibits have been created and assembled by Naz Schroeder and her team, and by Mollie Lim and Janet Gilmore, with guidance from Melissa Mason.
Come check out our finished exhibits in the Expo Hall and outside. The County Fair runs from June 5th - 13th.
We hope to see you there!
