Shasta County

Dew on Tree Needles

Serving our community

UC Cooperative Extension Shasta County is part of the community, working side by side with farmers, families, and youth to turn UC research into practical solutions. Our local team supports agriculture, promotes smart water use and wildfire readiness, stewards natural resources, and strengthens health through nutrition, active living, and youth programs like 4-H and Master Gardeners.  Through hands-on education, applied research, and strong local partnerships, we help Shasta County meet today’s challenges and build a healthy, resilient future together.

Our statewide networks of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Forestry, 4-H, and Community Health and Nutrition staff are dedicated to conducting research and extending results to farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, students, teachers, health professionals and interested citizens.
