Results from all fall-planted 2017-2018 UC Statewide Small Grain Variety Testing Program trials are now available on the UC Small Grains website: http://smallgrains.ucanr.edu/Variety/.

These include fall-planted common wheat, durum wheat, triticale and barley trials in Sacramento Valley, San Joaquin Valley and Imperial Valley locations, and fall-planted winter wheat trials in the Intermountain Region. Results can be accessed as multi-year, multi-site summaries or site-specific summaries on our interactive webtools, or in tabular form on our 2018 results page. The 2018 protein results have now been calibrated to a laboratory standard, and test and kernel weights are included for all wheat and triticale trials.

Symbols indicate: orange circles for common, durum, and barley; blue triangles for durum; blue dots for barley; and yellow cross-hatched squares for winter wheat. The map highlights the distribution of these crops across the area, with most fall plantings along the coast and inland regions.

Many thanks to the cooperating growers and the many individuals who contributed to the 2017-2018 trial!
