This summer & fall, Master Gardeners participated in 5 of San Francisco’s Sunday Streets events. San Francisco Sunday Streets is a series of free fun events, empowering local communities to transform 1 to 4 miles of car congested streets into car free community spaces for kids to play, seniors to stroll, organizations to connect and neighbors to meet.
From 11am until 4pm MG’s had fun getting the word out! We shared Gardening Information, Pest Notes, Quick Tips and answered LOTS of questions. You could find us on June 9th in Golden Gate Park, July 14th on Valencia Street in the Mission, August 18th in the South of Market, September 8th in the Tenderloin and September 22nd in the Western addition. Attendance was great ranging from 40 to 120. We definitely plan to do it again in 2020!
