During the 2015 Weed Workgroup meeting (4/18/2015), the Program Committee was restructured to a 2-member committee (Chair and Vice-chair) plus two new committees were formed: Website committee and Weed Susceptibility Chart committee.

1991-2013

The Weed Workgroup consists of University of California and other public agency personnel with an interest in weeds. The group meets annually in November to discuss research updates. Every 2 years, 3 members will rotate off and an election will be held to select 3 new members to the Weed Workgroup Program Committee--one individual from each of the three groups:

  • Group 1 :: UCCE Weed Specialist / Statewide IPM Advisor
  • Group 2 :: UC Academic Senate Faculty / USDA Scientist
  • Group 3 :: UCCE Farm Advisor

Committee members serve a 4-year term.

During the election period, committee members will select a Chair from the incumbent committee members. The Chair serves his/her final two years on the program committee and then rotates off. In addition to coordinating and moderating the annual Weed Workgroup meeting, the Chair serves on the WeedRIC Executive Committee for the same two-year period.
