Poster Contest 2026 Information
***Posters must be turned in on or before:
April 10, 2026
One of the three locations:
- Mansmith’s food truck on Hwy 25 (give poster to Jessica)
- 4-H office Friday hours: 8:30-4:30p

Poster Score Card
Medals will be awarded for Gold winners, using the Danish judging system.
Pick up your poster at the conclusion of Pancake Breakfast event, April council meeting or at your 4-H club monthly club meeting.
Members can also display their posters at various fairs, etc. for additional record book credit.
Poster Scorecard:
Effective Title – explains what the poster is about.......................... 5 points
Suitable Subject – timely and age appropriate............................... 5 points
Attracts Interest – gets viewers to look......................................... 10 points
Holds Interest – gets viewers to study........................................... 5 points
Conveys Message – accomplishes purpose..................................... 10 points
Depth of Message – evidence of learning........................................ 10 points
General Appearance & Workmanship – orderly, neatly, & well-constructed..... 10 points
Age Category
The Poster Contest is open to enrolled 4-H members, ages 9 –19.
Poster must have been created in the program year.
Age categories:
- Junior members (ages 9 – 10)
- Intermediate members (ages 11 – 13)
- Senior members (ages 14 – 19).
Medals will be awarded, using the Danish judging system.
*Primary members can participate however they won’t receive any certificate or pin.
