Our Commitment to Opportunity for All
California 4-H wants all young people to have a place where they can grow, learn, and feel welcome. But we know that not everyone has the same opportunities or resources. That’s why we are working to make sure every young person has a fair chance to succeed. We are committed to making sure everyone feels like they belong.
What Does This Mean for Youth?
We aim to:
- Create a feeling of belonging. Every young person should feel welcome and valued for exactly who they are. We want 4-H to be a place where all kids feel like they belong.
- Celebrate differences. We recognize that people come from different backgrounds, and this is a strength. We include and honor all cultures in our programs.
- Make sure all kids have the resources they need to thrive. Every young person should have the resources they need to grow, learn, and succeed through 4-H.
