Insects love our plants and believe it or not, most insects are good for us and our environment. But what do we do about the few insects that want to destroy our leaves, fruits, flowers and stems? Learn how to control the unwanted pests in the safest way to ensure that your garden is thriving. This presentation will provide you with information to make your garden beautiful as a host to the beneficial insects and reduce the pesky ones.
Happy Houseplants, Healthy Home
What are the easiest houseplants to grow, and how should you take care of them? We will learn how to choose the ones that will grow best in your home with you as the “plant parent.”
Biography:
Linda Stewart spent her professional life as a Registered Nurse nurturing new babies and moms, and teaching new parents, nurses and occasionally even doctors. She also spent time teaching nursing students. Once she retired, she turned to nurturing plants. In 2008 she became a docent at San Diego Botanic Gardens (formerly Quail Gardens) and in 2010 became a Master Gardener. During her years as an MG, she has taken many roles. Her latest direction has turned towards teaching again. In between her volunteering, Linda enjoys traveling and hopes to make it to all of the countries in Europe while she can still smell the roses, or wisteria as the photo shows... taken in Scotland in 2022.
