About the Event

Come and visit a working regenerative farm. Mission Farm, located in Woodside, uses practices that build healthy soil: protecting the soil with either living mulch/cover crops or mulch, keeping living roots in the ground and planting a diversity of crops. UC Master Gardeners Lisa Putnam and Kathleen Putnam will review the five principles of regenerative agriculture and provide a hands-on demonstration that shows how healthy soil produces healthy plants. Mission Farm is run by a team of UC Master Gardeners and community volunteers who work in the garden and harvest every Monday and Thursday, donating hundreds of pounds of fruits and vegetables to St. Francis Center and Samaritan House.

Registration is required. The tour is limited to 20 people. Location details will be provided the week before the event. Registration closes Saturday, April 11, at 12:00 noon PST.
