This Month: Nematode Management in Orchards
UC nematologist Dr. Andreas Westphal will join us to present his research on managing nematodes
in orchards. His talk will cover nematode biology and feeding strategies, chemical control for
nematodes in new and established orchards, and the use of organic material and cover crops to
control nematodes in preplant situations. He will also discuss cultural controls, including rootstocks
with genetic resistance or tolerance to nematodes.
After the presentation, we'll open the floor to discuss issues and concerns from the field for all tree
