On March 4th, 2026, the Southwest Regional Food Business Center hosted a webinar focused on “Obtaining an Unique Entity ID for Government Grant and Contract Opportunities.” The webinar featured Center partners as speakers, from the University of California, Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology and University of Nevada, Reno Extension.
Speakers presented an in-depth overview, including the basics of a UEI, a step-by-step process for UEI registration and renewal, and guidance through best practices on maintaining a UEI and SAM.gov profile. Additionally, speakers discussed state resources for support, which include the Small Business Development Center, APEX Accelerator, and the Southwest Center’s state leads.
