Learn safe, research-based methods for proper curing, dehydrating, and pickling garlic bulbs and seasonal scapes.

Learn practical, research-based methods for preserving garlic bulbs and seasonal garlic scapes at home. In this one-hour class, participants will explore safe techniques for curing (drying), dehydrating, and pickling garlic to help extend storage life and maintain flavor and quality.

The session also includes guidance on common preservation mistakes to avoid, including important food safety considerations related to garlic storage and garlic-in-oil preparations. Frank Voelz of Christopher Ranch will join the class to share insights about proper garlic harvesting and handling.
