ADA Compliance
Current Content ANR Publishing has produced ADA-compliant content since 2020. All new and forthcoming titles available online will meet the prevailing accessibility standard.
Archived Content Content published prior to 2020 is considered unremediated. This content has been archived on the California Agriculture site and in the eScholarship repository for reference, research, and recordkeeping purposes. Hilgardia is not currently available online.
Archived materials are not actively maintained and may not meet current accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If you need assistance accessing archived content or require an accessible format, please contact:
Rachel Lee, Director of Publishing anrlee@ucanr.edu.
We are committed to ensuring access for all users and will provide accommodations promptly upon request.
Remediation Process ANR Publishing is actively working to review archived content. Publications will be updated, will remain archived, or will be retired. This is a long-term, ongoing project. The remediation process follows these steps:
- Publications are reviewed in reverse chronological order and will be assessed by the Publications Editorial Board or the California Agriculture Editorial Board.
- Titles are designated as either to be updated and remediated, remain archived, or to be retired.
- Authors are contacted with a status update on their publication, and to discuss content updates where applicable.
- Each title is evaluated for production quality and checked against current compliance standards.
- Fully remediated titles will be published on the new ANR Library site, launching in mid-2026.
This process may be subject to further change.
