Registration survey will give you the option of attending the Friday 3/13 field day at Columbia College, or the Saturday 3/14 field day in Twain Harte.

About the Event

Join the UC ANR Forest Stewardship team, UC ANR Woody Biomass Advisors, and the Biochar Coalition to learn about biochar applications for small forest landowners. Forest landowners and managers, natural resources professionals and students, and interested members of the public are welcome to attend. 

Field day topics include:

  • Uses for biochar
  • Opportunities and barriers of biochar production
  • Demonstration of the Ring of Fire

Two back-to-back sessions will be offered in Tuolumne County. Each field day will cover the same information. 

Field day participants are highly encouraged to join the complementing online webinar ‘Biochar Applications for Small Forest Landowners’ on Wednesday, February 25th. Register for the webinar here.
