California Native Irises Division Workshop
About the Event
California native irises are beautiful and easy to grow. Join us to learn about them and take some home for free! We’ll begin indoors at the San Carlos Library with an introduction to the world of irises and especially our beautiful California native irises. We will cover how they grow, why winter is the ideal time to divide them, and tips for helping them thrive. Then we’ll move outside to the patio or garden for a hands-on demonstration where you'll learn step-by-step how to divide a mature iris clump. Best of all: everyone will take home free iris divisions! Come learn, get your hands a little dirty, and take home a piece of California’s native beauty!
