About the Event
School Garden Leaders, join us to learn and share ideas at our fall workshop to be held at the HEAL Project Farm in Half Moon Bay. Workshop topics will include: How to preserve your garden produce, lesson ideas for elementary school gardens, school garden irrigation. Following the workshop, we will tour the farm.
School Garden Workshop Team: UC Master Gardeners Betsy Colby and Kim Ricket have over 30 years of experience creating lessons and teaching in school gardens. The team supports school gardens throughout San Mateo and San Francisco counties by offering consultations and advice to new and existing school garden programs. They hold workshops to help educate school garden leaders and to give them ideas they can bring back to share in their own school gardens. They look forward to helping teachers and parents find ways to include gardens in their curriculum.
