KARE has an onsite Sensory Lab that can be used for blind taste tests. It consist of five booths with a sliding access doors to pass samples through, a waiting area, and a prep area.
Kearney Research and Extension Center has a 105kW solar array that helps to offset thier energy usage. The Solar array was installed in three phases with a 20kW array installed in 2012, a 50kW array installed in 2015 and a 35kW array installed in 2016.
