Have you ever looked at a perfect specimen of a plant, only to discover that some insect has disfigured it by cutting circles into the leaves? Were you dismayed, or angry that some nasty insect was chewing on your plants?
Missy Gable, statewide director of the UC Master Gardener Program, received the 2022 Extension Master Gardener National Coordinator Award for Distinguished Early Career at the organization's annual conference on Sept. 20.
Without volunteers, leaders, and program supporters, fulfilling our mission would not be possible. UC Master Gardener volunteers we are able to serve our mission to teach people how to garden more sustainably, protecting California's landscapes and ecosystems.
