Lead Author Brendon Boudinot on the Discovery of a New Genus of an Extinct Ant

A team of international scientists led by Friedrich Schiller University Jena and including key researcher and lead author Brendon Boudinot, a UC Davis doctoral alumnus, has discovered a new genus of an extinct ant--estimated to be about 20 million years old--in Ethiopian amber.
