Bohart Museum of Entomology officials have announced their schedule of special weekend events for the fall season. All are free and family friendly and all--except one--will take place in the Bohart Museum, located in Room 1124 of the Academic Surge Building, 455 Crocker Lane, UC Davis campus.
Papery Roses* *Sing to the tune of the song Paper Roses, first sung by Anita Bryant. Heat has always burned our garden roses. Summer blooms may last only one day. From yellow buds through pink and then just crispy, Those scented blossoms quickly fade away.
It's been hot and there is leaf damage. Those damaged leaves can protect the tree now and the fruit. Don't prune the the trees until you see the full extent of the damage and can still use those dead leaves to protect the rest of the tree.
