Dear members of the Monterey County 4-H Leaders Council, On Tuesday, November 26th, the 4-H Leaders Council will hold its monthly meeting at 7pm. The location will be at the County Agricultural conference room at 1432 Abbott St. in Salinas.

Aaron Nelson, UCCE livestock advisor emeritus, passed away on Oct. 14, 2019, in Clovis. He was 85. Nelson grew up on a small farm in Texas until the age 7, when his family moved to the San Diego area. At age 11, his father gave him a newborn calf to raise, which sparked his interest in livestock.

Now that the mornings have become chilly, it's that time of year to start snuggling up with some good gardening books.
