About the Event
Join the Master Food Preservers of Orange County on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and learn the time-honored craft of capturing spring’s sweetest flavors in a jar – so you can savor them long after the season is gone. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll make two of the season’s favorites:
- Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam – A classic pairing of sweet, sun-ripened strawberries with tangy rhubarb — perfectly balanced and bright
- Blueberry Jam - Plump, juicy blueberries lifted with a squeeze of fresh lime for a vibrant, jewel-toned preserve.
What you will learn:
•Selecting & preparing peak-season fruit | •Understanding pectin and set points |
•Safe water-bath canning techniques | •Sterilizing and sealing jars properly |
•Balancing sweetness and acidity | •Storing, labeling, and gifting your jars |
The class starts at 1:00pm and ends at 3:00. The class is limited to the first 20 registrants. Register and pay online by May 4, 2026, and bring a printed or digital copy of your confirmation proof-of-payment email to class.
