Who are the UC Master Gardeners
UC Master Gardeners are community members who have been trained under the direction of the University of California Cooperative Extension. Each volunteer has completed more than 50 hours of formal classroom training. They extend their knowledge through helping our community, by answering questions about gardening, weed/pest identification, planting timing and much more.

THE MISSION
The mission of the Central Sierra Master Gardeners, a volunteer arm of the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), is to meet the horticulture needs of our counties' gardeners through development and implementation of programs that transfer research-based knowledge and information using volunteers who receive training and certification from UCCE.
