2021-22 Release of UCCE Positions
UC ANR is thrilled to announce 106 new UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Advisor and Specialist positions released for recruitment. Rebuilding the UCCE footprint, to address California's emerging and future needs, is made possible by the historic 2021-22 state budget increase. Here is a map of the new UCCE Advisor positions:

Released April 13, 2022 -- 16 UCCE Specialist positions will be recruited over the next 12 months!
We are excited to expand the footprint on previously existing locations (UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz and UC Merced, RECs and in county offices), and to strengthen partnerships with additional UC campuses by placing UCCE Specialists on UC Irvine and UCLA. The following UCCE Advisor positions will be staged for recruitment to avoid overwhelming our Human Resources colleagues. Coverage areas are indicated for each position. In some cases, coverage areas were modified from the proposed locations. In other cases, modifications are needed to the position description. Vice Provost Bell is aware of the changes needed and these modifications will be addressed at time of recruitment. In 2021 Vice President Humiston announced the following 41 UCCE positions to be released for recruitment in rounds.
Round Four (November 10, 2021)
The positions released in round four are part of a new partnership with the California Stewardship Network – an alliance of regional leaders who are committed to solving state’s most pressing economic, environmental and social well-being challenges. These UCCE experts will collaborate closely with members of the California Stewardship Network to accelerate economic recovery across the state by tapping expertise in broadband development, small-business acumen, agricultural technology and more. All the counties to be served by each position are listed.

Program Council identified the highest priority UCCE Advisor and UCCE Specialist positions from the list of recent departures/priorities and the remaining positions from the 2018 position call process that were reconfirmed/updated in 2019 as critically urgent. For the positions with numbers below, they are linked to their original proposals; the released position may have some minor modifications. The positions with no numbers in rounds two and three were identified as current, high-priority needs through discussions with UC ANR leadership groups, including County Directors, Statewide Program/Institute Directors, and REC Directors.
