The Big Dig Day of Giving is a statewide University of California (UC) Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR), 24-hour fundraising campaign. Master Gardeners are part of the UC ANR system.

Our Master Gardener volunteers are working hard to meet vital needs in SLO County. We're planting and maintaining the vegetable beds and the fruit orchard in our Demonstration Garden so we can continue to donate fresh produce to the SLO Food Bank and local food pantries. In 2019 we donated over a 1,000 lbs from our garden. Now, demand for food from the Food Bank has nearly tripled.
