Two (2) Applications Programmer 5 positions available.  Both positions apply skills as a seasoned, experienced software professional with a full understanding of industry practices, community standards and relevant policies and procedures to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects with moderate scope and complexity. Resolves a wide range of issues.  Demonstrates competency in selecting tools, methods and techniques to obtain results.

One working title of “Architect’ will design and architect complex web applications and systems and provides technical leadership and guidance to development team; and ensures the scalability, security, and performance of applications.  The Architect will also develop architectural designs and technical documentation, leads the selection of tools, coding standards, maintenance protocols and platforms. And stays updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

These positions are career appointments that are 100% fixed.

The department for these positions is UC ANR IT Web Group. While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.

Pay Scale: $107,200/year to $157,200/year
