Placer County 4-H Summer Camp

Woodchuck Flat Camp Updates

Woodchuck Flat 4-H Residential Camp is currently under-going renovation.  We would like to thank McKenna Davidson for her generous donation of her fair pig and Jake Parnell of The Parnell Co., LLC Auctioneer. They worked to help raise $9,500!

With their generous donation and the numerous camp families in Placer and Nevada Counties that donated their youth’s camp fee’s we have raised enough to start clean-up at our camp.  Currently the kitchen and walk-in are having mold abatement work done. Once we have the all clear from the contractor, we can begin construction to re-build the kitchen.

Currently, we are in need of approximately $45,000 to complete the necessary tree work, re-build the kitchen and walk-in refrigerator and purchase a nurses trailer that meets the required safety and health-code.

Donations can be mailed to the Placer County 4-H office, or can be made online through the California 4-H Foundation by choosing “Camps” Placer County on the Donation page.

Please watch for additional work days coming up this fall.  We hope to see you at camp!
