I didn't blog all summer because life has been busy with doctor appointments for various members of my familynothing serious, just maintenance. As one gets older, a lot of maintenance is needed. I also had a milestone birthday in the summer. It takes a lot of energy and time to celebrate.

Indeterminates Live up to their moniker... They'll overwinter! While determinates Only lasts for one season They flower, fruit, die. My sweetest heirlooms Four mighty plants still standing Two years in a row! My wishful desire For next year's harvest season... Keep growing, growing.

If you are thinking of planting a tree, now is the time. Early autumn allows the plant to successfully settle into its new home and for its roots to sink into and spread out into the hopefully, cooler, damper earth.
