Unas muestras proviniendo de campos de fresa que se ha traído a esta oficina de las dos semanas pasadas fueron identificadas como una especia de enrollador de hoja no palomilla marrón de manzana. Es muy probable que la razón de interés de estos sea una preocupación general sobre los mandatarios de clausura del campo en el caso de descubrir un ejemplar de palomilla marrón de manzana. También vale recordar que aun descubrir un enrollador de hoja no palomilla marrón de manzana por las autoridades puede significar una clausura temporánea por el tiempo que tarda hacer una identificación cierta.
Lo siguiente es una descripción breve sobre la palomilla tortrix de járdin en la fresa.
Como uno puede ver bien en las fotos abajo, hay telarañas y la forma de alimentarse típica de los enrolladores de hoja en el caso de palomilla tortrix de járdin. Sin embargo, y esto viene de mi poca experiencia con este insecto, parece que las telarañas sean menos y las mordeduras más numerosas y pesadas de lo que uno encontraría en el caso de palomilla marrón de manzana.
También es importante destacar que hay una mancha marrón muy distinta en cada lado de la cabeza de palomilla tortrix de járdin. La palomilla marrón de manzana no tiene esta mancha. La foto abajo no es muy adecuada, me hace falta una lente con más potencia.
