The 4-H uniform hat is a source of pride for the California 4-H Youth Development Program. California is the only state to have a 4-H uniform hat! Many members use the hat to display their achievement pins.
A uniform is not required for participation in any 4-H sponsored activity, event, meeting or occasion. California 4-H does provide a recommended dress guideline for 4-H events that require business, business casual, and casual attire.
Would your 4-Her like to share their 4-H experiences? Submit articles to our county office at live@ucanr.edu. Everyone Should go to State Field Day - By SVO, Age 12, Surfside 4-H State Field Day is held at the University of California Davis in Davis California the first weekend of June.
Every time I tell someone I'm in 4-H, they ask me, "Oh, what animal do you raise?" With a smile, my response is lengthy, and usually, they look very surprised at my answer. I've been a 4-Her for the past six years. I've had fun learning and experiencing new things each and every year.
I am writing about Art and Design Day and what I liked about it because it was so much fun! At Art and Design Day you can participate in fashion revue, favorite foods, arts and crafts, and engineering; you also can do posters, photography, garden and plant design, communications and so much more.
