How to Update Your Portal Profile
Please take a few minutes to establish or update your profile so colleagues can better find and collaborate with you through the UC ANR Programmatic Footprint Maps.
Step 1: Access Your Portal Profile
Visit the Edit Profile page in the UC ANR Portal. You will be required to log in if you are not already signed in.
If you do not have access to or use the UC ANR Portal, contact Chris Hanson at Christopher.Hanson@ucop.edu or (510) 987-0628.
Step 2: Review and Update Your Information
Under Public Profile Information, review and update your information. Select Save and Continue when finished.
UC ANR asks that everyone review and update the following fields:
- Title – Verify that your title is descriptive (for example: Food Systems Advisor, Cropping Systems Specialist, Professor of Watershed Hydrology, or Professor of Physiological Ecology). Note: UC ANR is moving away from the generic "Farm Advisor" title.
- Discipline – Select your primary academic discipline from the drop-down menu.
- Specialty – Review and update your brief description of expertise or focus area (for example: organic and regenerative agriculture, small farms, wildfire, etc.).
- Custom URL – If you maintain a website, such as a lab website, add the direct URL.
- Phone
- Biography
- Education
Step 3: Update Your Public IWP Profile (if needed)
As of March 24, 2025, the instructions above apply only to internally facing Portal profiles and ANR Directory information used by the UC ANR Programmatic Footprint Maps.
To update your public profile on the Integrated Web Platform (IWP), see Edit Your Person Profile.
