Contact Pages

Your contact page should make it easy for visitors to find essential contact information and reach the right people. Use a consistent structure so visitors can quickly find your program's contact information and staff.

Contact Information: Use the Contact Information shortcut to link visitors directly to your site's main contact page. Avoid creating multiple pages that provide the same general contact information.

How to Reach Us

Start your contact page with the basic information visitors need to reach your program or office. Include:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Physical or mailing address, when applicable

Add other important contact information when it is useful to your visitors, such as office hours or directions.

Meet Our Team

Include staff names, titles and contact information below your general contact information. How you display staff depends on whether you are using profile photos.

Staff With Photos

If you include profile photos, use the Bootstrap Grid to display each photo alongside the person's information. Use the Profile image display so photos are presented consistently.

For best results: Use a clear, high-resolution original photo rather than an image copied from a PDF, document or website. Photos should have similar proportions for a consistent appearance. We recommend using a square image at least 300 × 300 pixels for the Profile image size. See Recommended Image Sizes for more guidance.

Include:

  • Full name, linked to the person's UC ANR directory profile
  • Title
  • Phone number, when appropriate
  • Email address

Staff Without Photos

If you have many staff members or do not plan to include photos, use a simple list or table. A table works well when the same information, such as name, title, email and phone number, is provided for each person.

NameTitleEmailPhone Number
Last, FirstTitlesample@ucanr.eduXXX-XXX-XXXX
Last, FirstTitlesample@ucanr.eduXXX-XXX-XXXX
Last, FirstTitlesample@ucanr.eduXXX-XXX-XXXX

Social Media

Use the Social Media Account content type for your site's primary social media accounts. These accounts display as social media icons near the site's main navigation.

If your site includes multiple programs with their own social media accounts, you can list those additional accounts on your contact page using descriptive text links rather than social media icon images.

See Social Media Account for instructions and additional guidance.

Keep Contact Information Current

Review your contact page regularly and update staff, email addresses, phone numbers and other contact information when changes occur. Remove information for people who are no longer associated with the program or site.
