This February, the CALE team co-organized a workshop with LAFPC, hosted at an urban farm in Compton called Alma Backyard Farms. The event focused on making agritourism accessible to urban growers, ensuring smaller-scale and lower-resourced operations aren’t left out of this hot industry.

UC ANR was well-represented at the World Ag Expo held in Tulare on Feb. 9–11. UC ANR Innovate, Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center and Lindcove REC hosted booths and numerous UC ANR scientists delivered seminars.
