We feature over 18 varieties of fruits and berries well suited to lower elevation gardens in Placer County in our demonstration garden. Our goal is to have fruit as year-round as possible.
We feature space-saving techniques including dense planting of trees kept small for “no ladder” maintenance, espaliered trees that have multiple grafted varieties and even trees and bushes grown in containers.
In addition to providing year-round inspiration, we also use our garden to discuss topics like pruning, variety selection and seasonal care. Our harvest is donated to the public in partnership with the Loomis Library.
