2026 Statewide Conference Field Trip Reference Guide

The purpose of this page is to serve as a reference for all field trips for the UC Environmental 2026 Statewide Conference. Scroll down to see information for individual field trips. As we approach the last few days before the conference, the final pieces are falling into place and this page will be updated on a continual basis. Please check back regularly for updates. All field trips take place on Sunday October 11th.

Important information for you to know before you head out:

  • The UC Environmental Stewards (UC ES) staff are not hosting these field trips and tours. Instead, we have identified and worked with an amazing group of local organizations to deliver these learning experiences. We would like to thank all the organizations who have offered a field trip for this event.
  • Please know that you signed a UC ES waiver when you completed registration but additional waivers and registrations (from our partnering organizations) may be required for field trip attendance.
  • Your registration for the conference doesn't cover field trips costs. If prepayment hasn't been arranged by your field trip, you will need to pay for your field trip when you arrive to the site. Some field trips have a suggested donation. Please strongly consider paying any suggested donations to support these amazing organizations who have graciously offered these experiences.
  • Please be sure to read and follow any parking information. Neither we, nor our field trip host sites, are responsible for any parking violations. Please check and double check that you are parked in a safe and legal spot before heading to the actual field trip meet up location.
  • There is no conference programing after field trips have ended. Once the field trips are done, you are free to head home or explore other places of interest in the area.
  • There is no transportation provided by the UC to field trips and you will be arriving to all the field trips on your own. Carpooling is encouraged.
  • Please be prepared for your trip. Dress appropriately for each site and make sure your adventure bag includes:
    • Sun protection
    • Water/Hydration/Snacks
    • Medications and First Aid supplies
    • Binoculars and other adventure accessories
    • Anything you will need to be comfortable and have a safe and fun time on your field trip
    • Check driving directions and meet up locations before the day of the field trip. It will be very difficult to help lost attendees and attendees who end up at the wrong site.

Field trip selection occurred when you registered for the conference. Below is the list of field trips offered during registration. Please only attend the field trip that you registered for. The field trips are at capacity and you will be turned away if you are not on the corresponding list for each site.
