As the recognized support group of the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program, the California 4-H Foundation generates investment in young people who are addressing the big issues facing California. Our professional staff and statewide Board of Directors is passionate about ensuring that 4-H supporters are able to direct their investment to what matters most to them, whether it be developing a science-literate workforce, ensuring that 4-H youth commit to living healthy and active lives by taking responsibility for the food they eat and the resources it takes to produce that food, or by creating a movement of civically aware youth engaged in their communities.

OUR ROLE

The California 4-H Foundation raises funds from private sources to support the mission of the California 4-H Youth Development Program: to engage youth in reaching their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development.

Private support enables 4-H to create innovative programs and enrichment activities designed to develop an array of skills to prepare California youth to pursue their educational and professional goals, and their role as citizens in a dynamic and complex world.
