The Master Gardener Helpline volunteers are available for your garden and yard questions.

- You can also bring your questions to the Master Gardener Booth at the Saturday Farmers Market behind Redding City Hall
- Ask your question on our Facebook page
When leaving a message, include the following:
- Name
- Phone number and/or email
- Your location within Shasta County.
Please provide as much pertinent information about the problem as possible, such as:
- Name of plant
- Age of plant
- Soil type (loam, sandy, clay)
- Current watering methods (drip, sprinkler, hand)
- Frequency of watering
- Sun exposure
- Evidence of insects or other damage – check on both sides of leaves
- Recent changes that may have affected the plant (water, fertilizer, etc.)
- Photos related to your question/issue are very helpful. If possible, include them in an email to us.
The Master Gardener Helpline is staffed by volunteers. It may take a few days to respond to your questions. Leave your message and a Master Gardener will be happy to contact you.
