The University of California, a land grant university, supports local 4-H programming across California. From the center of the city to the acreage of Wilton, Sacramento County 4-H brings learning alive to over 1,800 youth in 4-H club, camp and afterschool science education programs.

4-H events take on a variety of different forms, such as field days, judging, presentation contests, and other educational activities.

Do you want to learn to lead, initiate community service projects, discover your passions, and make life-long friends? From food science to ceramics, from electricity to raising sheep, 4-H has something for you. 4-H welcomes youth members from all backgrounds and locations.

Our volunteers are a key part of the 4-H Youth Development Program. By volunteering, you are helping to grow the skills of 4-H youth to be our future leaders.

We have 14 community clubs throughout Sacramento County. Clubs are led by adult volunteers, who act as the Community Club leader, Project Leaders or other volunteers.
